Working with Providers

Providers are companies you work with to manage your buildings, such as systems integrators, controls contractors, or MSIs. Connect a provider and everyone on its team gets the access you choose, without being added to your organization. The provider manages its own people, and you can remove it at any time.

Before You Start

Invite a Provider to Your Organization

Use this when a provider should work across all your projects, including new ones.

  1. Open your organization and select Settings › Providers.
  2. Click Invite Provider and search for the provider by name.
  3. Choose a role:
    • Admin – the provider’s admins can manage your organization like your own admins, including projects, members, and billing. The rest of its team are Managers on every project.
    • Manager, Collaborator, or Viewer – that role on every project.
  4. Click Invite.

The provider’s admins receive an email invitation. Until one of them accepts, the provider is listed as (pending) on the Providers page.

Invite a Provider to a Single Project

Use this when a provider only works on specific buildings.

  1. Open the project and select Settings › Team.
  2. Click Invite and select Invite Provider.
  3. Search for the provider, choose Manager, Collaborator, or Viewer, and click Invite.

Repeat for each project. If a provider already has access to all your projects, you can’t invite it to individual projects.

See Your Providers

Settings › Providers lists every connected provider and pending invitation:

Column Shows
Role Admin, Manager, Collaborator, Viewer, or Mixed
Projects All for organization-wide access, or the number of projects
Members How many people are on the provider’s team

On a project’s Team page, provider staff are listed with Provider in the Access column, grouped by provider.

You’ll receive an email whenever a provider accepts an invitation, confirming the access it now has.

Remove a Provider

Removal takes effect immediately. To reconnect, invite the provider again.
