SkySpark Integration
SkySpark can connect directly to Novant to read normalized building data, trends, and asset information. This allows you to use SkySpark’s analytics, rules, and visualizations while relying on Novant as the shared data foundation across your building systems.
This integration enables:
- Using SkySpark analytics on top of Novant’s unified data model
- Running rules and diagnostics against normalized point and equipment data
- Visualizing historical and real-time trends sourced directly from Novant
- Keeping SkySpark projects in sync when data or equipment changes in Novant
The integration is provided by novantExt, which is
freely available on StackHub.
Installation
The easiest way to install novantExt is through
SkySpark’s Install Manager:
- Open Settings → Install Manager in SkySpark
- Search for novantExt
- Select Install
Alternatively, you may manually download the
.pod file from StackHub and place it into your SkySpark
lib/fan/ directory.
A restart of SkySpark is required after installation.
Configuration & Use
Once installed, the extension provides new connectors and functions for accessing Novant data. You can:
- Browse assets, spaces, and tags modeled in Novant
- Read real-time point values
- Query and analyze historical trend data
- Use this data directly in rules, dashboards, and analytics projects
For configuration steps and example queries, refer to the documentation on StackHub, which contains the most up-to-date instructions.
