Autodesk Tandem Connect Integration
Autodesk Tandem is a digital twin platform that pairs design and construction models with live operational data. Tandem Connect is its data integration layer, used to stream telemetry from building systems into a twin. By connecting through Novant, Tandem Connect can consume normalized point, asset, and trend data without per-system mapping or repeated tagging work.
This integration enables:
- Using Novant as the single source of truth for assets, spaces, and point metadata
- Streaming live telemetry from Novant into a Tandem digital twin
- Backfilling historical trends for commissioning and performance review
- Aligning Novant asset models with Tandem element and room hierarchies
- Onboarding additional projects without rebuilding connections per building
How the Integration Works
Tandem Connect reaches Novant through the Novant API. Once authorized, it can access:
- Asset models (equipment, zones, spaces, hierarchies)
- Point metadata including types, units, and tags
- Live point values
- Trend data over time
Points are mapped once to their corresponding Tandem elements, after which updates flow automatically. Because Novant normalizes data upstream, the same mapping approach applies across buildings even when the underlying control systems differ by site or vendor.
Getting Started
The integration is set up and supported directly by Autodesk. To begin, contact your Autodesk account representative or Tandem implementation team.
