Project Settings
Project Settings is where you manage configuration, access, integrations, and data for your project. Open it from the Settings tab in the top navigation bar within a project.
The settings menu is organized into the sections below.
Project
General project details including name, city, and time zone. This is also where you’ll find Usage and Limits — your current point usage and total capacity. Use the Resize button to adjust capacity from your organization’s available pool. You can also delete a project from this page — this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Team
View and manage who has access to this project. You can add both internal organization members and external users such as consultants or vendors. Each team member is assigned a role that controls what they can do. See Roles below and Teams for details.
Roles
Three project-level roles control access:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | View project and data. Read-only. |
| Collaborator | Modify project data — sources, assets, spaces — but cannot manage team or settings. |
| Manager | Full control including team management, settings, and project configuration. |
Organization admins have implicit access to all projects regardless of role assignment.
Invites
Send and manage pending invitations. Invite users by email address and assign a role. Invitations can be revoked before they’re accepted.
Plugins
Enable and configure optional functionality for your project. Each plugin has its own configuration requirements. See Plugins for available options.
Tasks
Configure the task system for your project. Tasks are a lightweight issue tracker for commissioning items, maintenance, and follow-ups. Use this settings page to manage task labels and other task configuration options.
Nodes
View the edge nodes associated with this project. Each node shows its current status, serial number, and connection details. Hardware nodes are automatically associated; virtual nodes require a license file. See Nodes for setup and troubleshooting.
Credentials
Securely store authentication details that can be reused across sources. Two types are supported:
- Password — a username and password pair
- Token — an API key, bearer token, or personal access token
Updating a credential here automatically updates all sources that use it. See Credentials for technical details.
Certificates
Manage TLS/SSL certificates used for secure communication with building systems or external services.
API Keys
Create and manage API keys for programmatic access to this project’s
data. Keys are project-scoped and use the format ak_....
See API Authentication for usage
details.
Keep API keys secure — they carry significant privileges and should not be shared publicly.
Audit Log
View a record of actions taken within the project, including who made changes and when. Useful for tracking configuration changes and diagnosing issues.
Export
Export project data in NEX (Novant Exchange) format. NEX exports produce a multi-sheet Excel workbook with one sheet per entity type — useful for bulk editing and re-importing. See Import & Export for format details.
